Women's March San Diego

The San Diego Chapter of Brady Campaign is an official partner of the Women's March.  Join us as we march in solidarity to oppose the weakening of America's gun laws, especially concealed carry reciprocity, and to remember that women, especially those in domestic abuse situations, are particularly vulnerable to gun violence.  Please contact us to join the Brady and Moms Demand Action contingent of the march.

New York Times, Dec.26, 2017
By Erin Dunkerly

Past and Upcoming Events

After a 1981 assassination attempt on President Reagan left his press secretary, Jim Brady, partially paralyzed, Jim and his wife Sarah fought tirelessly for six years for the passage of the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act in 1993. The law requires that every sale of a gun by a licensed dealer be referred to law enforcement for a background check.

The law has been an unprecedented success: since 1994, more than 2.4 million attempts to purchase guns by prohibited purchasers have been stopped. The Brady Campaign to Prevent to Gun Violence strives to uphold Sarah and Jim Brady's legacy of fighting for life-saving legislation and making American safer.
